Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and commission manufacturing tools and processes for aerospace flight hardware production.
- Lead structured problem-solving initiatives using root cause analysis methodologies to resolve manufacturing defects.
- Implement lean manufacturing tools and techniques to optimize production processes.
- Serve as the main point of contact supporting supplier production teams on various activities.
- Conduct cycle time analysis and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure production readiness and provide line-side support for manufacturing lines.
- Create and execute improvement plans to address quality excursions using structured problem-solving methodologies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in hardware development, test lab, or aerospace maintenance.
- Experience working with external suppliers and driving process improvements.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and root cause analysis techniques.
- Experience with test plan development and building necessary test infrastructure.
- Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Familiarity with aerospace quality management systems and Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools.
