Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and problem-solving efforts in a fast-paced R&D setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including materials scientists, chemists, and engineers.
- Design, build, and test equipment for high-temperature, chemically reactive environments.
- Drive innovation from bench-scale prototypes to full-scale commercial systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Conduct root cause and risk analyses; propose and implement design improvements.
- Create and present clear, confident technical presentations to diverse stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 8+ years’ experience working as an engineer in a R&D, design and/or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with FEA, risk & root cause analysis, troubleshooting, test proposals.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent software package.
- Attention to detail, outstanding communication, and social skills.
- Excellent digital literacy with the ability to learn new software and programs.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
