Responsibilities
- Utilize CAD software to design durable components for specific requirements.
- Develop and build custom test fixtures for validation testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate designs and resolve issues.
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback.
- Maintain documentation of design iterations, analysis results, and test data.
- Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical failures or performance issues.
- Support circuit design, wiring, or embedded software as needed.
Job Requirements
- BSME + 5 years relevant experience OR MSME + 3 years OR PhD + 1 year relevant experience.
- Experience in electromechanical system design and familiarity with mechanisms and sensors.
- Practical fabrication experience with a portfolio of projects.
- Proficient in mechanical CAD software (PTC Creo preferred).
- Familiarity with GD&T and mechanical drawings.
- Experience in test design and implementation.
- Basic understanding of robotics principles and programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
