Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive reliability test plans and procedures for LiDAR systems.
- Conduct reliability testing, including environmental, mechanical, thermal, and electrical stress tests.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in mechanical or electrical test setups and equipment.
- Manage and optimize lab test instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Create automated test setups and scripts for efficient reliability testing.
- Analyze test results, identify failure modes, and perform statistical analysis on test data.
- Prepare detailed test reports and present findings to engineering and management teams.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a hardware R&D lab or industry setting.
- Experience with transducers, sensors, electrical circuits, and signal processing.
- Proficient in MATLAB and Python.
- Experience with reliability testing methods and failure analysis techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis.
- Nice to have: Experience with Labview and NI Instruments, familiarity with EMC testing.
