Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance and repair of lab equipment
- Design, modify, and optimize mechanical fixtures for solid-state batteries
- Design and develop pilot scale electrode coating tools
- Analyze concepts using CAD software such as Solidworks
- Collaborate with external suppliers to customize manufacturing equipment
- Set up and validate pilot scale slurry mixer and other fabrication equipment
- Maintain and optimize equipment following vendor guidelines
Job Requirements
- BS or MS degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience in a mechanical design role in a Li-ion battery environment
- Strong hands-on experience with equipment maintenance and repair
- Experience with roll-to-roll coater installation and operation
- Familiarity with vendor qualification and customer interactions
- Ability to work safely and comply with regulations and quality systems
- Experience with ceramic solid electrolytes is preferred
