Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and modeling of mechanical test fixtures using CAD software (SolidWorks).
- Execute mechanical, thermal, or functional tests on prototypes and existing designs.
- Support the setup of data logging and instrumentation and perform light coding tasks (e.g., in Python or MATLAB).
- Process, analyze, and interpret collected test data to identify performance metrics and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to review test results and propose design updates.
- Prepare detailed documentation, including test procedures and results summaries.
- Support testing related to electro-mechanical components and fluidic systems.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably having completed Junior year or higher.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
- Foundational knowledge of thermal dynamics, fluid dynamics, and stress analysis.
- Working knowledge of a programming language suitable for data analysis (e.g., Python or MATLAB).
- Desire for hands-on experience in mechanical testing and validation.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and document work accurately.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
