Responsibilities
- Design mechanical enclosures for custom electronics hardware
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and test engineers to gather requirements
- Communicate with external partners and cross-functional teams for design feedback
- Perform structural, modal, and thermal analyses to validate designs
- Work with manufacturing engineers to create work instructions
- Incorporate learnings from test campaigns and fleet operations into designs
- Sustain programs over time based on feedback
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with mechanical design for electronics assemblies
- Familiarity with casting of metal components
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and seek help when needed
- Bonus: Structural and thermal FEA experience
- Bonus: Experience in mechanical test specifications and procedures
