Responsibilities
- Design mechanical enclosures for custom electronics hardware.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and test engineers to gather requirements.
- Communicate with external partners and cross-functional teams for design feedback.
- Perform structural, modal, and thermal analyses to validate designs.
- Work with manufacturing engineers to create work instructions.
- Sustain programs by incorporating feedback from test campaigns and fleet operations.
- Analyze and improve existing hardware designs.
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in mechanical design for electronics assemblies.
- Familiarity with casting of metal components.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and seek help when needed.
- Bonus: Experience with structural and thermal FEA.
- Bonus: Knowledge of mechanical test specifications and procedures.
