Responsibilities
- Design, build, and run electro-mechanical testers for critical components.
- Develop tests and setups based on engineering specifications.
- Utilize CAD tools for designing parts and assemblies.
- Evaluate concepts and tradeoffs using a first principles approach.
- Collaborate with teams and suppliers to review designs.
- Document work for clarity on key decisions.
- Root cause failures and develop tests to replicate failure modes.
Job Requirements
- Experience in designing and building mechatronics systems outside the classroom.
- Solid mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Automation experience with actuators and Raspberry Pi or similar.
- Proficiency in CAD design for multiple projects.
- Ability to work on complex projects involving mechanical, electrical, and software design.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- Capability to anticipate, plan, and schedule work effectively.
