Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts and evaluate trade-offs based on product and engineering requirements.
  • Use 2D and 3D CAD tools to design parts and assemblies.
  • Design, build, and test prototypes to gather quick learnings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams and suppliers to review designs.
  • Create and run electro-mechanical testers to prove component reliability.
  • Analyze designs and components at various levels for performance.
  • Document work for clarity on key decisions made during projects.

Job Requirements

  • Completion of at least the second year of Undergraduate studies; Masters and PhD students are eligible.
  • Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals for part sizing and integration.
  • Experience with automation and working with actuators and Raspberry Pi’s.
  • Proficiency in CAD with experience in multiple design projects.
  • Involvement in complex projects requiring mechanical, electrical, and software design.
  • Ability to adapt and simplify designs when necessary.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude towards project goals.
