Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts and evaluate trade-offs based on product and engineering requirements.
  • Use 2D and 3D CAD tools to design parts and assemblies.
  • Design, build, and test prototypes to gather quick learnings.
  • Collaborate with other teams and suppliers to review designs.
  • Create and run electro-mechanical testers for critical components.
  • Document work to ensure clarity in decision-making.
  • Root cause failures and develop tests to replicate failure modes.

Job Requirements

  • Completed at least the second year of Undergraduate studies; Masters and PhD students eligible.
  • Solid mechanical engineering fundamentals for sizing parts and design integration.
  • Experience with automation and actuators.
  • Proficiency in CAD with multiple project designs.
  • Background in complex projects involving mechanical, electrical, and software design.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to changes.
  • A proactive attitude with a focus on solving critical problems.
