Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts and evaluate tradeoffs based on product and engineering requirements.
  • Use 2D and 3D CAD tools to design parts and assemblies.
  • Design, build, and test prototypes to gather insights quickly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to review designs.
  • Create electro-mechanical testers to prove component reliability.
  • Evaluate designs and components on various levels.
  • Document work for clarity on key decisions made.

Job Requirements

  • Completed at least the second year of undergraduate studies; Masters and PhD students are eligible.
  • Solid mechanical engineering fundamentals for part sizing and design integration.
  • Experience with automation and working with actuators and Raspberry Pi's.
  • Proficient in CAD with multiple project designs.
  • Experience in complex projects requiring mechanical, electrical, and software design.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly.
  • A proactive attitude and ability to plan and schedule work effectively.
