Responsibilities
- Develop concepts and evaluate tradeoffs based on product and engineering requirements.
- Use 2D and 3D CAD tools to design parts and assemblies.
- Design, build, and test prototypes to gather insights quickly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to review designs.
- Create electro-mechanical testers to prove component reliability.
- Evaluate designs and components on various levels.
- Document work for clarity on key decisions made.
Job Requirements
- Completed at least the second year of undergraduate studies; Masters and PhD students are eligible.
- Solid mechanical engineering fundamentals for part sizing and design integration.
- Experience with automation and working with actuators and Raspberry Pi's.
- Proficient in CAD with multiple project designs.
- Experience in complex projects requiring mechanical, electrical, and software design.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly.
- A proactive attitude and ability to plan and schedule work effectively.
