Electrical Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)

The Electrical Engineering Intern will be part of the team at Zipline, working on projects related to the design, building, and testing of electronics for drone delivery systems. Interns will engage in real projects that contribute to the company's mission of improving logistics and accessibility.

• Prototyping new versions of battery charging electronics for various environments.
• Architecting ground support electronics for drone operations.
• Developing and deploying test equipment for design validation.
• Supporting design validation campaigns for avionics products.
• Conducting root cause investigations for product issues.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Communicating technical concepts to various stakeholders.

• Completed at least the second year of undergraduate studies.
• Experience designing and testing custom circuit boards.
• Worked on a project involving moving systems (e.g., drones, vehicles).
• Collaborated on engineering projects in a group setting.
• Familiarity with robotics/automation is a plus.
• Exposure to software development (C++ or Java) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of cloud computing/big data tools is helpful but not required.
