Responsibilities
- Engineer mechanical design solutions for spacecraft and MGSE.
- Create designs with DFM/DFA for high-rate manufacturing.
- Perform preliminary FEA and hand calculations for design feasibility.
- Develop component and assembly drawings with GD&T.
- Coordinate with engineering teams on design improvements.
- Interface with programs and customers on design requirements.
- Collaborate with test engineers to prepare and execute test plans.
Job Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a mechanical design engineer.
- Understanding of high-quality mechanical systems and manufacturing practices.
- Proficiency in Solidworks or similar CAD software.
- Ability to work in a team environment with leadership skills.
- Experience with configuration control and design lifecycle.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance.
