Mechanical Engineering Lead

The Mechanical Engineering Lead position at XP Power involves leading a mechanical engineering team responsible for designing power converters and ensuring designs meet performance, cost, and reliability targets.

• Lead the mechanical engineering team in developing power converters from concept to production.
• Guide the team through the product development process, including thermal simulations and design verification.
• Drive technical strategy and operational readiness.
• Lead R&D activities for new technologies.
• Conduct root cause analysis on products and technical issues.
• Develop relationships with internal engineering organizations for integrated development.
• Manage team performance to meet business objectives and project timelines.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 10-12 years of design experience, or Master’s with 8-10 years.
• 3-5 years of engineering management experience preferred.
• Proficiency in electronic packaging and 3D modeling.
• Experience with thermal and dynamic simulation tools.
• Familiarity with stress analysis and thermal management principles.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Pro-E, Creo, and AutoCAD.
• Strong project management and supervisory skills.
