Mechanical Engineer, AI Integration

The Mechanical Engineer, AI Integration role at Xometry involves applying mechanical design and manufacturing knowledge to support AI integration initiatives, particularly in the context of generative AI and geometric integration.

• Analyze 3D CAD models for complex geometries and features.
• Assist in testing and validating manufacturability and pricing feedback within Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to provide engineering logic for training AI models.
• Create and label datasets from technical drawings and purchase orders.
• Document manufacturing constraints into rules for software use.
• Conduct regression testing on AI-generated outputs against real-world metrics.
• Serve as a technical point of contact across engineering and operations teams.

• 2-5+ years of experience in mechanical design or manufacturing engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD/PLM systems, especially Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing methods and GD&T.
• Familiarity with Python or willingness to learn for data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with non-engineering peers.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
