Responsibilities

  • Help author and revise material and process specifications for Gen 6 aircraft production.
  • Write test reports summarizing data and findings from M&P test programs.
  • Perform mechanical strength testing on test coupons using Instron machines.
  • Conduct thermal analysis testing to determine glass transition temperature and degree of cure.
  • Perform cross-sectional image analysis to assess void content in composite parts.
  • Execute layup and curing of composite prepreg laminates.
  • Assist in bonding for bonded joint test coupons and analyze non-conformances in a production environment.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree (BS, MS, or PhD) in a related engineering discipline.
  • Preferred studies include Materials Science, Structural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Internship experience is desirable but not required.
  • Experience in a laboratory or research setting is preferred, along with strong technical writing skills.
  • Familiarity with composites and adhesives is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new tasks is necessary.
