Responsibilities

  • Act as a Design for Manufacturing Specialist for aircraft development.
  • Create detailed assembly process documentation and work instructions.
  • Support problem-solving activities related to assembly process validation.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering and Quality teams on design changes.
  • Define critical assembly sequences and workstation layouts for aircraft sub-systems.
  • Analyze 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for assembly roadblocks.
  • Document and validate standard work instructions and tooling concepts.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • Relevant coursework or projects in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  • Exposure to engineering drawings, 3D CAD modeling, and GD&T.
  • Understanding of Design for Manufacturing, Lean principles, and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with major CAD software platforms (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor).
  • Eager to learn professional tools like PLM systems.
