Design Engineer

The Design Engineer role at Winchester Interconnect involves driving new product design and development from conception to production, focusing on sustainability and innovative processes.

• Perform product design/development for customer-funded programs and new product development projects.
• Specify designs and document materials, components, and performance specifications.
• Create detailed drawings, procedures, and BOMs for manufacturing.
• Document product data/design information using CAD and ERP systems.
• Identify production steps, tooling requirements, test requirements, and sources for materials and processes.
• Review and provide technical content for proposals and quotes.
• Participate in NPI projects, quoting, contract review, and customer inquiries.

• Bachelor of Science engineering degree in manufacturing, mechanical, chemical, or material science.
• Excellent knowledge of assembly design, materials, processes, and testing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, SolidWorks, and CAD tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and take ownership of contributions.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
