Responsibilities
- Own the commercial interaction with suppliers from quoting through execution stages for all cost elements and incurred variances.
- Manage reviews with suppliers to discuss capacity plans and performance indicators.
- Monitor material component market trends to mitigate supply risks.
- Balance cost, quality, and delivery across global supply chains.
- Evaluate sourcing opportunities to optimize quality, delivery, cost, and inventory.
- Partner with hardware engineering to drive improvements and support modifications.
- Travel up to 25% globally to manage supplier relationships.
Job Requirements
- BS degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration; electrical engineering background is a plus.
- 6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and commodity management.
- Knowledge in fitness wearables and associated electromechanical supply base desired.
- Strong understanding of working with Asia suppliers.
- Mandarin Chinese language skills desired but not required.
- Certifications in APICS-CSCP or ISM-CPSM desired.
- Experience in Arena PLM software and NetSuite ERP a plus.
