Responsibilities
- Design and analyze propulsion components and systems using computational tools and first-principles calculations.
- Prototype, troubleshoot, and test propulsion hardware and systems.
- Qualify propulsion hardware for expected mission environments.
- Draft and implement build and test procedures aligned with mission risk posture.
- Conduct design reviews, test readiness reviews, and flight readiness reviews with a focus on technical excellence.
- Manage analysis products and incorporate feedback into designs.
- Maintain flexibility in direction under changing circumstances.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline.
- Comprehensive understanding of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
- Experience in electric propulsion systems.
- 2+ years of experience designing or testing spacecraft propulsion systems.
- 5+ years of experience in designing and testing propulsion systems in harsh environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Track record of delivering novel technical products.
