Responsibilities
- Design mechanical components and assemblies for seismic integrity and manufacturing ease.
- Create 3D models and design packages for various hardware applications.
- Manage Bill of Materials and revision control for mechanical designs.
- Compile technical and quality documentation for procurement and testing.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and outside fabricators to resolve issues.
- Communicate with engineering organizations and third-party test facilities for equipment qualification.
- Perform engineering calculations to support product design and analysis.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience with sheet metal design.
- Knowledge of AWS welding requirements and sheet metal welding.
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault or similar software.
- Familiarity with Geometric Tolerances and Dimensions (ASME Y14.5).
- Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
- Commitment to safety and quality in engineering practices.
