Responsibilities
- Develop inspection acceptance criteria for nuclear power plant components.
- Perform calculations and apply the ASME Code to the design and analysis of reactor vessel internals using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Qualify replacement reactor internals components for plant operation through structural evaluations.
- Evaluate degradation of plant components to ensure safe continued operation.
- Support projects that develop industry guidance for safe long-term operation of nuclear power plant reactor vessel internals.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance project outcomes.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders regarding project developments.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- 0-2 years of applicable experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of materials science is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with on-site requirements.
- Commitment to safety and quality in engineering practices.
