Responsibilities

  • Apply the fission matrix approach
  • Train on reactor physics, microreactor technologies, and methods development
  • Gain exposure to the work of other research units within the division
  • Engage in computer modeling and method development
  • Collaborate with the Fuels Technical manager
  • Participate in daily activities related to fuel engineering
  • Contribute to innovative clean energy solutions

Job Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, focusing on materials science or a related discipline
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completion of at least sophomore year of undergraduate studies
  • Experience with material properties and behavior (mechanical, thermal, and chemical characteristics)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
