Responsibilities
- Lead the sign-off of sensing and perception systems for deployment while upholding safety standards.
- Propose requirements using knowledge of sensing and perception technologies and systems engineering principles.
- Drive consensus on requirements with hardware, software, product, and safety teams.
- Evaluate and analyze system performance in coordination with test engineering teams.
- Identify performance gaps and make data-driven recommendations for system improvements.
- Perform system-level trade studies and evaluate future sensor architectures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or related technical field.
- An advanced degree OR at least 5 years of applicable experience.
- Familiarity with robotics, sensing, or perception technologies.
- Experience with system engineering fundamentals, including requirements definition and verification methods.
- Experience working on large, complex systems with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis using Python or other high-level languages.
- Preferred experience with autonomous vehicles, safety-critical systems, and different sensing modalities (especially lidar).
