Responsibilities
- Conduct thermal analysis of satellites and provide thermal boundary conditions for payload units.
- Design electronics packaging for the space environment, including CAD modeling and documentation.
- Perform mechanical testing on packaged electronics, such as shock, vibration, and thermal vacuum tests.
- Collaborate with engineering, program management, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams.
- Create and analyze models in thermal analysis software.
- Support build and test phases for electronics hardware.
- Communicate findings and design specifications effectively with team members.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a similar relevant field.
- 8+ years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering and satellite level thermal design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, NX).
- Experience with thermal analysis software (Ansys, Thermal Desktop).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically.
