Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional team of engineers and scientists in drug substance process development.
- Drive multiple assets in a fast-paced environment via laboratory development and technology transfer.
- Collaborate with various groups to optimize drug substance properties across clinical development.
- Promote innovation and industry best practices within the department.
- Mentor junior-level scientists and develop team members.
- Influence departmental strategic direction and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Manage projects representing all aspects of pharmaceutical sciences.
Job Requirements
- Experience in leading pharmaceutical process development teams.
- Advanced knowledge of unit operations in drug substance process development.
- Proficiency in modeling complex systems and data analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in process scale up and regulatory dossier authoring.
- Strong problem-solving skills in a matrix environment.
- Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders.
- Education: BS (+20 years), MS (+15 years), or PhD (+11 years) in Materials Science/Chemistry or related field.
