Responsibilities
- Design avionics enclosure and mounting solutions for high reliability in harsh environments.
- Participate in the entire design cycle of flight and mission-critical avionics.
- Partner with the electrical engineering team to design rugged printed circuit board systems.
- Complete thermal and structural analyses of designs.
- Support electronics development and trade studies.
- Validate requirements through design, test, analysis, or inspection.
- Create assembly and/or installation drawings and support hardware builds.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related discipline.
- 1+ years of project or internship experience with electronics packaging in extreme environments.
- 1+ years of project or internship experience with 3D CAD programs.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in relevant engineering discipline.
- Working experience with NX is preferred.
- Experience with GD&T implementation (ASME Y14.5).
- Thermal and structural analysis experience using ANSYS or similar.
