The Electrical Engineer will work on creating high-performance engines for small launchers, focusing on production optimization and cost-effectiveness, as part of a team developing next-generation space stations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible Engineer for the flight engine controller and instrumentation.
- Work with the test team to integrate the engine controller with the test stand.
- Design, build, and test circuit boards and write software for engine controller, throttles, and TVC.
- Procure, calibrate, install, and troubleshoot engine instrumentation.
- Responsible for wiring harnesses and mounting avionics on the engine.
- Create electronics schematics and models/drawings of parts and assemblies.
- Participate in engine testing with the test team and support troubleshooting as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of experience with electronics design, development, fabrication, assembly, or test (internships included).
- Hands-on engineering skills (Full-stack: computer to wrench to broom).
- Proficiency in electronics and circuit boards.
- Experience with coding (MATLAB, C++, JavaScript, C, Arduino).
- Familiarity with CAD (NX preferred) and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
