Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end avionics hardware development program across all subsystems.
- Drive hardware from concept through schematic and layout review, prototyping, and environmental qualification.
- Define the hardware and technology roadmap to maximize reuse and increase development speed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and resolve interface challenges.
- Establish design rules, review gates, and development processes for consistency and quality.
- Build infrastructure to support environmental testing and component qualification.
- Grow and lead the avionics hardware team, mentoring engineers and fostering a collaborative culture.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in developing electronic hardware for mission-critical applications.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary hardware engineering teams.
- Deep technical fluency in power electronics, compute, RF, mixed-signal design, or GNC systems.
- Proven track record in driving hardware through the full product lifecycle.
- Experience with environmental test campaigns and space qualification standards.
- Preferred experience in a high-cadence aerospace organization and hands-on experience with spacecraft avionics systems.
