Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer role at Urban Sky involves developing embedded systems for stratospheric flight vehicles, focusing on lightweight electronics that operate in harsh environments. The engineer will design and test PCB assemblies and work with design engineers on full system tests.

• Ground-up electrical system development, including high-speed digital PCB design, motor/actuator controllers, DC/DC converters, and wireless communication devices.
• Utilize ECAD development tools for PCB design and mechanical integration.
• Build, debug, verify, and integrate electro-mechanical systems.
• Support flight testing of electrical systems in the field.
• Collaborate with design engineers for full system tests.
• Ensure compliance with export regulations as necessary.
• Contribute to a supportive team culture focused on empowerment and inclusion.

• 3+ years of design engineering experience with hands-on work.
• Proficient in Electrical System Design.
• Experience with integrated/embedded electronics design.
• Familiarity with ECAD tools, preferably Altium.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Must be located near Denver, CO.
