Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing product design engineering team.
- Set technical direction and engineering standards for product programs.
- Partner with Product Management and Industrial Design to define product design strategy.
- Own the mechanical and product design lifecycle from concept to mass production.
- Champion user-centered design and collaborate with Industrial Design and UX teams.
- Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) practices.
- Identify and mitigate design, reliability, and manufacturing risks.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience leading mechanical design engineering organizations.
- 12+ years of experience in consumer product design engineering, preferably in wearables.
- Deep knowledge in mechanics of materials and structural design.
- Strong command of DFM/DFA principles and experience in mass production.
- Advanced proficiency with CAD tools, specifically Siemens NX.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with strong judgment and results orientation.
