Responsibilities
- Develop partner-agnostic safety solutions and frameworks for autonomous vehicle tech providers.
- Lead the elicitation and documentation of safety requirements for Uber's autonomous offerings.
- Design Verification and Validation (V&V) strategies for internal and external systems.
- Conduct technical safety risk assessments for AV partner integrations.
- Influence long-term product roadmaps and strategic partnerships as a technical expert.
- Evaluate and integrate AI/ML approaches to enhance safety validation.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, focusing on hardware/software integrations.
- Proven track record in the Autonomous Vehicle industry with safety-critical systems.
- Experience with V&V methodologies (e.g., ISO 26262).
- Advanced degree preferred (Master's or PhD).
- Experience in defining cross-functional system architectures.
- Strong communication skills for technical concepts.
