Responsibilities
- Support development of spacecraft EPS hardware such as solar arrays and batteries.
- Perform analysis, modeling, and trade studies under guidance from senior engineers.
- Implement and test EPS components in the lab using various electronic testing equipment.
- Contribute to requirements development, design documentation, and design reviews.
- Execute EPS integration and test activities on spacecraft hardware with cross-functional teams.
- Support development of fault protection strategies and power modeling.
- Conduct validation testing, including EMI/EMC and thermal cycling.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 0-1 years of professional experience with spacecraft or high-reliability electrical power systems design.
- Demonstrated experience with spacecraft power modeling and analysis.
- Technical knowledge in solar arrays, battery technologies, and DC/DC converters.
- Familiarity with lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes and power supplies.
- Understanding of radiation effects on power systems.
- Experience with EMI/EMC effects and system-level interactions in HIL/SIL environments.
