Responsibilities

  • Support development of spacecraft EPS hardware such as solar arrays and batteries.
  • Perform analysis, modeling, and trade studies under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Implement and test EPS components in the lab using various electronic testing equipment.
  • Contribute to requirements development, design documentation, and design reviews.
  • Execute EPS integration and test activities on spacecraft hardware with cross-functional teams.
  • Support development of fault protection strategies and power modeling.
  • Conduct validation testing, including EMI/EMC and thermal cycling.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 0-1 years of professional experience with spacecraft or high-reliability electrical power systems design.
  • Demonstrated experience with spacecraft power modeling and analysis.
  • Technical knowledge in solar arrays, battery technologies, and DC/DC converters.
  • Familiarity with lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes and power supplies.
  • Understanding of radiation effects on power systems.
  • Experience with EMI/EMC effects and system-level interactions in HIL/SIL environments.
