Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models using CAD software (Fusion360, AutoCAD, Solidworks, or PTC Creo).
- Integrate 3rd party electromechanical devices into robotic platforms.
- Design shell aesthetics and modular mounting systems.
- Fit electrical components within robot chassis and navigation stacks.
- Wire components and design connectors for effective cable management.
- Collaborate on the design process for robotic manipulators, including selecting servos and determining joint configurations.
- Maintain thorough documentation of specifications and design processes.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in CAD software (Fusion360, AutoCAD, Solidworks, or PTC Creo).
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (3D printing, CNC Machining, etc.).
- Ability to work independently on high-level tasks.
- Strong desire to learn and improve engineering skills.
- Capability to conceptualize and discuss 3D parts for design.
- Portfolio required to demonstrate design skills and projects.
- Transportation needed to commute to the Downers Grove location.
