Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.
- Regularly interact with shop floor employees, leads, and supervisors to understand issues and identify technical solutions.
- Manage several Manufacturing Excellence projects to reduce manufacturing costs and serve as a change agent in continuous improvement.
- Ensure that processes and equipment adhere to safety standards & regulations.
- Lead root cause analysis exercises with a cross-functional team and manage corrective action plans.
- Support or develop the design of new tools and manage new tool builds and tooling repairs with external vendors.
- Create process flow maps and modify work instructions to optimize production efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
- Minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training.
- Math and blueprint reading skills are required.
- Ability to analyze technical data.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Good communication skills – verbal and written.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
