Responsibilities
- Develop and exercise design, analysis, and hands-on skills for prototyping and stellarator design activities.
- Support process development, fabrication, and assembly for HTS magnet prototyping programs.
- Assist in the design, build, testing, and performance analysis of custom HTS magnets.
- Develop and execute test equipment and operations for magnet-related hardware.
- Assist in designing and developing subsystems for stellarator fusion devices.
- Model magnetically confined high-temperature fusion plasmas using computational tools.
- Optimize stellarator magnetic geometry for next-generation fusion devices.
Job Requirements
- Enrolled in a STEM undergraduate or graduate program (mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, etc.).
- Interest in clean and sustainable energy to combat climate change.
- Hands-on or computational experience through academic research or projects.
- Highly self-motivated and independent problem solver.
- Authorized to work in the US.
- Willingness to learn new things.
- No specific skillset requirement; open to applicants with diverse backgrounds.
