Responsibilities
- Act as the reliability point of contact for purchased metallic raw materials and semi-finished products.
- Interface with production, inspection, shipping/receiving, and engineering teams to develop quality signals and processes.
- Drive changes to enhance reliability, manufacturability, and efficiency.
- Lead supplier quality failure investigations to identify and mitigate root causes.
- Coordinate failure resolution and follow-up actions to prevent further issues.
- Identify opportunities for risk reduction and simplify designs and processes.
- Monitor supplier capabilities for unknown flight risks and resolve issues.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing/inspection of mechanical products.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in metallurgical engineering or materials science.
- Familiarity with metallic mill products, tubing, castings, and forgings.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and statistical techniques.
- Experience with quality systems (ISO 9000/TS/AS9100/NADCAP).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
