Responsibilities

  • Learn about design and analysis methodologies for thermostructural flight hardware.
  • Assess strength, fracture-life, structural integrity, and stability of flight hardware.
  • Create and run Finite Element Models for environmental testing simulations.
  • Develop software capabilities to support hardware investigations.
  • Participate in training and mentorship opportunities.
  • Collaborate with team members in a dynamic work environment.
  • Adapt to changing organizational needs and responsibilities.

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program in Mechanical, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Completed undergraduate degree by internship start date.
  • Availability for a full-time internship for at least 10 weeks.
  • Relevant coursework in finite element analysis and structural mechanics.
  • Experience with flight hardware is preferred.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
