Responsibilities
- Learn about design and analysis methodologies for thermostructural flight hardware.
- Assess strength, fracture-life, structural integrity, and stability of flight hardware.
- Create and run Finite Element Models for environmental testing simulations.
- Develop software capabilities to support hardware investigations.
- Participate in training and mentorship opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members in a dynamic work environment.
- Adapt to changing organizational needs and responsibilities.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program in Mechanical, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Completed undergraduate degree by internship start date.
- Availability for a full-time internship for at least 10 weeks.
- Relevant coursework in finite element analysis and structural mechanics.
- Experience with flight hardware is preferred.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
