Responsibilities

  • Conduct analyses, modeling, and planning related to heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
  • Assess steady and transient heat and mass transfer under various conditions.
  • Participate in resolving technical issues with engineering teams.
  • Support technical interchange meetings and review contractor analyses.
  • Maintain technical knowledge in heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
  • Provide technical viewpoints to government and civil customers.
  • Collaborate with program offices and contractors.

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.
  • Availability for a full-time internship for at least 10 weeks.
  • Completed Bachelor's degree by internship start date.
  • Background in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
  • Familiarity with thermal modeling or fluid dynamics.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Transcripts required.
