Responsibilities
- Develop and apply techniques for solving flight mechanics and astrodynamics problems.
- Perform trajectory simulation and performance optimization of spacecraft, missiles, and reentry vehicles.
- Participate in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners.
- Apply standard techniques to carry out engineering tasks.
- Work on full life-cycle projects from inception through launch.
- Collaborate with engineering partners for integrated solutions.
- Maintain strong communication and organizational skills.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or applying to a Master’s or PhD program in aeronautical/astronautical engineering, physics, or applied mathematics.
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree prior to internship start date.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Experience in orbital mechanics, hypersonic flight simulation, or trajectory modeling.
- Programming experience in C/C++, Fortran, Python, or MATLAB.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
