Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply techniques for solving flight mechanics and astrodynamics problems.
  • Perform trajectory simulation and performance optimization of spacecraft, missiles, and reentry vehicles.
  • Participate in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners.
  • Apply standard techniques to carry out engineering tasks.
  • Work on full life-cycle projects from inception through launch.
  • Collaborate with engineering partners for integrated solutions.
  • Maintain strong communication and organizational skills.

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or applying to a Master’s or PhD program in aeronautical/astronautical engineering, physics, or applied mathematics.
  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree prior to internship start date.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Experience in orbital mechanics, hypersonic flight simulation, or trajectory modeling.
  • Programming experience in C/C++, Fortran, Python, or MATLAB.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
