Responsibilities
- Architect, design, build, and industrialize power converter hardware for automotive and energy applications.
- Take ownership of hardware from specification to design, prototype, reliability validation, and production.
- Capture hardware requirements and build detailed circuit and switching models of power converters.
- Collaborate with various engineering teams to design, test, validate, and manufacture power converters.
- Develop new power electronics topologies for superior performance.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for applications.
- Utilize schematic capture and simulation tools for circuit design and validation.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 6 or more years of relevant hands-on hardware experience in power converter design.
- Strong understanding of power converter topologies and practical design.
- Experience with high voltage power semiconductor selection and design.
- Solid understanding of magnetics and capacitors for high voltage power conversion.
- Familiarity with PCB layout and design for manufacturability and EMC optimization.
- Knowledge of basic control theory and embedded programming.
