Sr. Mechanical Reliability Test Engineer, Energy Products

The role focuses on designing reliability into Tesla Energy’s products, emphasizing mechanical and thermal systems.

• Lead test engineering activities for mechanical and thermal systems.
• Design and execute product and component-level reliability testing.
• Build and implement next-gen hardware and software test systems.
• Develop test strategies for optimizing product reliability.
• Conduct test data and failure analysis, and communicate results.
• Train Technicians/Engineers on test equipment operation.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in hardware design validation and testing.
• Experience designing and fabricating custom test platforms.
• Knowledge of programming in scripting languages for automation (Python preferred).
• Experience with high voltage equipment (up to 1kV).
• Proficiency in using CAD software for custom test fixture design.
• Proven ability to develop reliability tests including environmental and mechanical stress testing.
