Responsibilities
- Design and prototype exterior vehicle components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop parts from concept to launch.
- Conduct concept engineering and feasibility studies.
- Detail design including surface development and GD&T.
- Utilize DFSS methodologies during design and validation.
- Interpret CAE simulation results for product design.
- Manage supplier relationships for product development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Catia V5/V6 or other CAD software.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with large plastic part design and injection molding.
- Familiarity with DFSS methodologies in automotive programs.
- Evidence of managing the design process from concept to production.
- Understanding of design differences between low and high-volume production.
