Responsibilities
- Lead the design and create build plans for wind tunnel models.
- Execute build plans by designing and coordinating the build of test properties.
- Perform hand calculations and FEA to ensure structural performance.
- Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and fabricators to test high-fidelity models.
- Drive innovation efforts to improve design and testing processes.
- Mentor team members and interns during design reviews.
- Manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 5 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and CAD software.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Proactive in improving processes and driving projects.
- Familiarity with aerodynamic measurement systems.
- Experience with track or wind tunnel testing preferred.
