Responsibilities
- Define sensor product requirements and develop implementations
- Prototype development for new sensing technologies
- Run validation tests and perform data analysis for sensors
- Develop designs in CAD for detailed parts and assemblies
- Perform tolerance analysis, FEA, and simulations before production
- Create 2D drawings for production and inspection
- Conduct DFM reviews with suppliers and support tooling bring-up
Job Requirements
- Proficient in CAD, preferably CATIA
- Knowledge of design for plastic injection molded, sheet metal stamping, and cast parts
- Experience in drafting 2D drawings with GD&T
- Experience with MATLAB and first-principles analysis
- Familiarity with FEA, ANSYS preferred
- Passionate about electro-mechanical product design
- Ability to invent solutions and improve designs for sustainable energy transition
