Responsibilities
- Design and own mechanical parts/assemblies for in-house battery cells from concept to production.
- Advance technologies to enhance product performance and safety while reducing costs.
- Engage in prototyping, testing, and analysis related to battery cell designs.
- Collaborate with teams from electrochemistry design, supply chain, and manufacturing.
- Conduct research and benchmarking of competitive solutions.
- Define technical specifications and author documentation.
- Participate in component sourcing and maintain supplier engineering relationships.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Physics.
- Strong fundamentals in solid mechanics and heat transfer.
- Experience in designing for high-volume manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling; experience with CATIA is a plus.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with structural/thermal FEA and hands-on fabrication skills.
