Responsibilities
- Design and develop structural components and system specifications for optimal performance.
- Create targets for function, cost, weight, and investment aligned with vehicle requirements.
- Optimize designs through analytical assessments and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop production-optimized components.
- Research reliability failure physics and design accelerated test methods.
- Take ownership of structural reliability requirements and develop test plans.
- Ensure targets are met on schedule through internal and external collaboration.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Preferred minimum of 1 full development life cycle experience.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design software (e.g., CATIA).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in ambiguous conditions.
- Proven knowledge of engineering fundamentals for complex challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
- Enthusiasm for resolving engineering problems and continuous improvement.
