Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various teams to optimize temperature, rain, cabin, and tire pressure sensors.
- Participate in prototype builds, component fabrication, testing, and validation efforts.
- Own the design of all mechanical components, including PCBA outlines and heatsink designs.
- Conduct mechanical design analysis, including structural and tolerance assessments.
- Generate detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software.
- Support development of engineering and reliability test plans and analyze test data.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Experience in the development of sensing devices.
- Proficiency in CAD software, preferably CATIA/3DX.
- Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) tools, preferably ANSYS.
- Experience taking designs from concept to mass production.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform first principles analysis.
