Responsibilities
- Lead CAD development of tooling systems with mechanical features.
- Design custom tools, fixtures, and jigs, generating models and drawings.
- Evaluate tooling and component failures, implementing corrective actions.
- Partner with Design and Manufacturing Engineers for efficient manufacturability.
- Incorporate feedback from simulation teams to optimize tooling performance.
- Drive innovation in tooling architecture to improve production metrics.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and collaborate with suppliers and internal partners.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Mechanical design experience in precision tooling or related systems.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably CATIA V5.
- Ability to manage projects across cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability based on feedback.
- Hands-on approach to design and engineering challenges.
- Experience with tooling design for manufacturing processes.
