Responsibilities
- Design mechanical components and mechanisms for electrical connections and assembly integration.
- Develop novel technologies and manufacturing techniques.
- Perform thermal/structural modeling of components and systems.
- Build prototypes and validate functionality in lab and real-world scenarios.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate components into electro-mechanical systems.
- Work with reliability engineers to validate designs.
- Partner with manufacturing engineers and suppliers to transition concepts to production.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in mechanical engineering within product design and manufacturing.
- Knowledge of high volume manufacturing processes (injection molding, die casting, etc.).
- Proficiency in CAD modeling; CATIA v5 experience is a plus.
- Willingness to travel 10-15%.
- Strong creativity and engineering rigor using first principle reasoning.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple engineering disciplines.
