Mechanical Design Engineer, Interiors

The Mechanical Design Engineer – Interior Engineering at Tesla will design, engineer, release, and launch the complete interior system for future vehicle product lines, working with a team to innovate and execute high-quality interiors.

• Engineer and develop world-class interior systems compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams throughout the product cycle.
• Participate in the iterative process with stakeholders to balance form, function, performance, and cost.
• Implement processes and material selections for automotive interior craftsmanship.
• Complete and release interior components and detail designs.
• Utilize DFSS methodologies during design, validation, and launch.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing feasibility.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Two years of experience in product development/design engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
• Understanding of design technologies in product engineering.
• Experience with complex assemblies and engineering principles.
• Excellent communication skills and creativity.
• Ability to push boundaries and innovate in design.
