Responsibilities
- Design and prototype exterior components for vehicle programs.
- Collaborate with the design/styling studio to balance form, function, and cost.
- Conduct detail design work, including surface development and GD&T.
- Interpret CAE simulation results and integrate them into product design.
- Work with suppliers on DFM and tooling design approvals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing feasibility.
- Utilize DFSS methodologies during design and validation processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Catia V5/V6 or other CAD software.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Basic knowledge of large plastic part design and injection molding.
- Experience managing suppliers for product development.
- Familiarity with design and engineering for various production volumes.
- Knowledge of DFSS methodologies and development of technical documents.
