Mechanical Design Engineer, Electronics System

The role involves working as a Mechanical Design Engineer focused on low voltage electronics modules for Tesla's Autopilot and Electronics Product Design team, leading mechanical design for various electronic systems in Tesla vehicles.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system architecture and implementations
• Optimize vehicle components considering performance, design, and integration
• Participate in prototype builds, component fabrication, testing, and validation
• Model and design mechanical components using CATIA
• Conduct mechanical design analysis including structural and tolerance assessments
• Generate detailed 3D models and technical documentation
• Communicate with suppliers for DFM feedback and support tooling and assembly

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design
• Experience in developing antenna/RF modules
• Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA preferred)
• Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) tools (ANSYS preferred)
• Basic understanding of electrical and thermal design fundamentals
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
